The Committee on European Integration will organise a public debate on “Montenegro and the EU, Chapter 27: Environment and climate change”, on Friday 2 February starting at 11h, in the Blue Room of the Parliament of Montenegro.
The good practice of keeping the citizens well-informed on negotiation chapters will be also continued by organising this public debate, where the interested members of the public and experts from the field of environment will have the opportunity to present their opinions and suggestions, prior to consideration of the Draft Negotiating Position for Chapter 27 at the upcoming Committee meeting.
Speakers at the public debate will be Mr Adrijan Vuksanović, Chairperson of the Committee on European Integration, Mr Hermann Spitz, Head of Cooperation Section at the EU Delegation to Montenegro, Mr Saša Radulović, State Secretary of the Ministry of Sustainable Development and Tourism and member of the Negotiating Group for Chapter 27 – Environment and climate change, and Ms Ivana Vojinović, Director General of the Department for Environment at the Ministry of Sustainable Development and Tourism and Head of the Working Group for Chapter 27 - Environment and climate change.
We invite all interested parties to take part in the public debate and learn about the content of the said negotiation Chapter, and contribute to the accession process of Montenegro to the European Union with their suggestions.
The beginning of the event will be open to media with credentials, and after the debate a press statement will be released.
