Secretary General of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr Siniša Stanković died in Podgorica today.
Mr Stanković was born on 20 December 1957 in Podgorica, where he finished the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering.
Since November 2014, he served as Secretary General of the Parliament.
He started his career in Factory "19. decembar", and then he served as Secretary of Secretariat of Labour, Health and Social Welfare. He was Vice President of the Capital City Podgorica as well as Vice President of the Social Democratic Party of Montenegro. From June 2004, he served, in several mandates, as assistant minister in the Ministry of Spatial Planning and Environmental Protection, Ministry of Tourism and Environmental Protection, Ministry of Environmental Protection and Spatial Planning and Ministry of Sustainable Development and Tourism.
He was married, father of two.
Commemorative Sitting on the death of Secretary General of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr Siniša Stanković will be held on Tuesday, 10 January 2017, in the Great Hall of the Parliament of Montenegro, starting at 9:00h.
