The Multiple Indicator Cluster Surveys (MICS) is an international household survey programme developed by UNICEF. The MICS provides data relating to the position of women and children, as well as key indicators following the country’s development in accordance with the SDGs, European integration and other national and international strategies.
The data obtained from the survey is used to assess Montenegro's progress in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals and the relevant national strategy, as well as the country's progress in implementing the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.
The survey was first conducted globally in 1995 and has since been conducted in more than 100 countries every five years.
