Ceremonious meeting of the Constitutional Committee
Location: Plenary Hall of the Parliament of Montenegro
President of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr Ivan Brajović and Chairperson of the Constitutional Committee Mr Miodrag Vuković will deliver opening remarks on this occasion.
Aside from members of the Constitutional Committee, the meeting, organised on the occasion of eleven years since the adoption of the Constitution of Montenegro, will be attended by distinguished persons from the public and political life of Montenegro.
After the ceremonious meeting, President of the Judicial Council and President of the Constitutional Court of Montenegro in the period 2005-2007 Mr Mladen Vukčević will open the exhibition Constitutions of Montenegro, in the hall of the Parliament of Montenegro. Copies of several constitutions of Montenegro will be available to the public, from the first one adopted in independent Montenegro in 1905 up to the current one from 2007.
Parliament of Montenegro invites all citizens to visit the exhibition from 22-26 October 2018, from 10 am to 4 pm.
Starting from the decision of the citizens of Montenegro to live in an independent and sovereign state of Montenegro, made in the referendum held on 21 May 2006, the Constitutional Assembly of the Republic of Montenegro adopted the Constitution and the Constitutional Law for its enforcement, at its Third Sitting of the Second Ordinary Session in 2007 held on 19 October 2007.
